An exciting week lies behind us.<\/p>

We started with the seminars in Ilula. We knew some of the students from last year. This year we were allowed to teach 45 students from the 1st to 3rd year of apprenticeship. We all had a lot of fun and laughed a lot together. This time we covered topics such as \u201chygiene\u201d, \u201cobstetric care and pain management\u201d, \u201cshoulder dystocia\u201d and \u201cuterine rupture\u201d.<\/p>

Some of the expectant midwives also asked us directly at the end if we would come more often. They seem to have enjoyed it.<\/p>

We also held our first seminar on childbirth support and pain management at our \u201chome clinic\u201d, the Frelimo Hospital.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

This was followed by the handover of the birth packages, with which we were able to make some pregnant women happy, and we handed over the donations in kind to the clinic. Even the Regional Health Officer was present for the occasion.<\/p>

The third clinic on our agenda was the Ipogolo Health Center. We have known the head doctor of the obstetrics department for some time, so we were delighted that he was immediately enthusiastic about us teaching there too.<\/p>

But first we worked there for a day in morningshift. Unfortunately, we didn't have a birth, but we did see some pregnant women starting to give birth. We were able to get to know the clinic and the staff and our first impression of this rather small hospital was very positive. We will certainly come back to work in the delivery room again in the future.<\/p>

On the second day, we were there to teach. Here, too, we received very positive feedback and had a lot of fun. Our birthing stool was met with great interest and they would have loved to keep it right there and try it out.<\/p>

We were able to hand over our donated disinfectant dispensers both in Ipogolo and in Frelimo on this day and also have them installed directly. You can find out more about the donations in general in a separate article. \u00a0hier<\/a> in einem extra Beitrag<\/a> dazu.<\/p>

We ended the evening watching the sunset.<\/p>

All in all, the whole week was a success in our eyes and we look forward to teaching in these clinics and schools again next time.\u00a0We already in talked with 2 clinics about possibly giving online seminars this year.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
